For more than 125 years, Grotnes has helped manufacturers solve complex metalforming challenges with advanced equipment, practical engineering insight and long-term support. Now, that same depth of capability has a new digital home.
Grotnes is proud to introduce its new website, designed and developed by DOJO Creative, at grotnes.com. Built to better serve customers across industries and applications, the new site gives visitors a clearer path into our company’s technologies, services, equipment support and specialized manufacturing resources. It’s structured to make it easier to understand what Grotnes does, where our expertise fits and how customers can connect with the right team for the job.
A Better Way to Explore Grotnes
The new website is both a visual refresh and a practical resource built around how customers actually evaluate manufacturing partners and equipment providers.
Visitors can move through the site by capability, industry and service need. The site is designed to help visitors get where they need to go faster, from first-time introductions to specific forming technologies, prototyping support, replacement parts and service options.
About: The Foundation Behind the Name

The About page introduces the story and values behind Grotnes, a company with more than 125 years of engineering experience in metalforming equipment and integrated systems. It highlights our long history, our mission to make customers successful through quality metalforming and assembly systems, and our vision to be the recognized and trusted brand in the markets it serves. The page also includes information on ISO certification, reinforcing Grotnes’ commitment to quality management and continuous improvement.
For visitors who want to understand the company behind the machinery, this page offers important context. It connects Grotnes’ long-standing reputation to the way the company continues to operate today: with a focus on dependable systems, trusted relationships and global support.
Services: Beyond the Machine

The Services page gives a strong overview of the resources Grotnes offers beyond equipment design and build. It directs visitors into three major service areas: Equipment Services, Formitt Metal Labs and Contract Machining. It also reinforces a central idea that runs throughout the site: Grotnes aims to be a trusted partner, with global staff available for consultation, training, support and general inquiries.
Technology: Core Processes, Clearly Presented
The Technology page is built around Grotnes’ core metalforming processes, including expanding, shrinking, spinning and roll forming. It positions those technologies within the broader context of real manufacturing demands, showing how we leverage engineering and flexible design to build machines around precise application requirements. The page also points visitors toward integrated automation, helping connect core forming technology to larger production goals.
For manufacturers comparing process options or trying to match a challenge to a forming method, this page is a strong starting point. It turns broad capability language into something more navigable and easier to evaluate.
Industries: A View Across Real Applications
The Industries page gives visitors a straightforward look at the markets Grotnes serves, including aerospace, appliances, automotive, pipes, tanks, rigid packaging, closing tools, forging and general industries. It emphasizes that Grotnes designs metalforming solutions to meet the distinct demands of varied industrial environments, with a focus on precise, durable and efficient machinery that integrates into production settings.
This page helps customers quickly see where Grotnes’ experience aligns with their own work. Rather than speaking only in general capabilities, it shows the practical range of industries where Grotnes technology is already making an impact.
Closing Tools: A Legacy Product with Modern Access

The Closing Tools page stands out as both a product resource and a reminder of Grotnes’ longstanding innovation. Grotnes is credited with inventing the closing tool still in use today, with the patent filed in 1933. The page walks visitors through available solutions for lug-type containers and plastic pails, including manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic options, as well as spark-resistant designs for specialized environments. It also provides direct access to the online store, plus pricing links for new tools and spare parts.
This is one of the clearest examples of how our new site improves usability. Customers can move from learning about the product line to taking action straight to the store.
Equipment Services and Parts: Keeping Systems Performing
The Equipment Services page focuses on the support side of the Grotnes relationship. It covers spare parts, rebuilds and retrofits, and service contracts, all built around keeping systems reliable and productive. The page emphasizes original spare parts for machine reliability, upgrade packages to keep aging systems current, and a services team available globally. It also introduces the Grotnes Service Club, with Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers designed to improve reliability and equipment life while minimizing downtime.
For current machine owners, this page is an important destination. It speaks directly to our lifecycle support and ongoing performance, showing that Grotnes is invested not only in equipment delivery but in what happens after installation as well.
Formitt Metal Labs: Prototyping & Production Support

The Formitt Metal Labs page introduces Grotnes’ prototype initiative and explains how it extends the company’s advanced metalforming and engineering expertise into prototype development and production support. The page highlights our work on custom shapes and components such as exhaust catalytic converters, couplings, filter housings and rigid packaging products. It also explains that Formitt Metal Labs supports more than prototyping alone, offering bridge manufacturing and private label production while helping customers transition toward independent machine operation.
This page adds an important dimension to the site because it shows how we can engage earlier in a product or process lifecycle. For companies trying to prove a concept, bridge a production gap or develop a process before full-scale equipment deployment, Formitt Metal Labs is a highly practical resource.
Contract Machining: In-House Precision, Expanded Capability
The Contract Machining page details Grotnes’ in-house machining capabilities and explains how that capability expanded during the COVID-19 pandemic in response to supply chain disruption and material shortages. What began as a move to strengthen internal resilience also became a service Grotnes can now extend to outside customers. The page outlines advanced machining and inspection processes, describes additional external-contract inspection requirements and provides a detailed equipment list including machining centers, boring mills, wire EDM, surface grinders and CNC lathes.
Built to Help Customers Find the Right Path
One of the biggest strengths of the new website is how these pages work together. A visitor can start with a technology, move into an industry, explore service options, then connect with Grotnes for deeper discussion. The site creates a more connected experience, making it easier to understand how our capabilities align with real production challenges.
Our value comes from the combination of engineering, forming knowledge, production awareness and support after the sale. The new site does a better job of bringing that full picture into focus.
Looking Ahead to the 41st Space Symposium
The launch of the new website comes at an exciting time for Grotnes, as we prepare for our upcoming appearance at the 41st Space Symposium.
The event will take place April 13–16, 2026, at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, and Grotnes will be exhibiting in the Northrop Grumman Exhibit Center, Colorado Hall, booth 43. The event is a major global gathering for the space industry, with more than 300 exhibitors expected across its exhibit centers.
As Grotnes continues to support aerospace and other advanced manufacturing sectors, the new website gives customers, partners and prospects a stronger place to learn about those capabilities before the conversation even begins. Then, at Space Symposium, Grotnes will have the opportunity to continue those conversations in person with manufacturers, suppliers and industry leaders focused on what comes next.
